Touring Car Race is a type of motorsport competition in which highly modified touring cars participate. These races are quite popular in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany and the Nordic countries.
There are basically two formats for this type of race: the shortest sprint, usually less than an hour; and the ” endurance “, which is much longer and can last between three and 24 hours.
The main category is the WTCC ( World Touring Car Championship ) organized by the FIA since 2005. There are also dozens of regional and national categories around the world. There are national championships such as BTCC (England), DTM ( Germany ), Supercars Championship ( Australia ), TC 2000 (Argentina), Stock Car (Brazil) among others.
